Frequently Asked Questions

How much in Retirement Savings do I have to have to work with you?

At Cone Advisory Group, we have no financial minimum. It is our goal to be flexible enough to help the young entrepreneur in their early 20’s and the person who is perhaps a decade or more into retirement.

What happens at the first appointment when we meet with you? Do I need to bring something?

First appointments typically consist of trying to figure out exactly what are a potential client’s goals & objectives. Understanding the client’s goals gives us the opportunity to provide the best advice & guidance during a second appointment. We do encourage that you bring account statements.

What if I already have an advisor or professional that is currently giving me advice, why should I work with you?

Our experience, our approach to financial planning, and our relationship-management approach. Also, we believe it is important to have second opinions in life. We believe you can never have too much information which is why we encourage everyone to get a second look to ensure their current financial plan is a good one.

What are the fees to work with you?

The fees for working with us are dependent upon the level of service or type of service given. For example, for assets under management, we charge a 1% annual fee. For life insurance, annuity & long-term care solutions, we do not charge a fee.

Do you work with an Attorney, CPA and do you have access to other resources to help me?

We have strong relationships with trust officers, estate planning attorneys, and CPA’s that we regularly refer people to for additional services.

If I am not happy with my current advisor is there a way to transfer or move my money without having to contact him or her?

There is. We also have a form we recommend clients to send to their advisor when they choose to go in a different direction. We know it can be an awkward conversation and we will help with the process.
